LEADERFIGHT®

LEADERFIGHT® Training.

The self defense program LEADERFIGHT® draws its techniques in different disciplines of fighting. However, it is mainly inspired by the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu®, the L.O.C.K.U.P.® program and the Jeet Kune Do® in order to offer its trainees a quality of service adapted to the laws. LEADERFIGHT® approaches the issue of Self Defense differently by respecting a logical order in conflict situations. The special feature of LEADERFIGHT® is that it addresses the theme of self defense as a team. Whether you are a high level sportsman, a law enforcement officer or a lambda person this program is adaptable to all. Simple and concrete it really helps to understand the effectiveness in a fight. During the course you will address the following themes in a theoretical and practical way:
  • The legal framework
  • Conflict management
  • Learning how to differentiate fighting techniques
  • Physical conflicts (from the easiest to the most difficult situations)
  • After the intervention

Since 1925, over 40 members of the Gracie Family have dedicated their lives to developing the most effective system of self-defense the world has ever known. Today, the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy is a global organization which stands alone in its ability to empower anyone regardless of age, gender, or athletic ability using the time-tested techniques and teaching methods perfected over the last century.

The Gracie Survival Tactics (GST) Military/Law Enforcement Instructor Certification Course is our highly specialized program for Military and Law Enforcement professionals. Developed and refined over nearly two decades, the techniques featured in the GST program have been adopted by virtually every federal and state law enforcement agency in the US as well as all five branches of the US Armed Forces, to include the special operations community. GST is a “living program” that is continually evolving based on feedback from those who are using it in the field.

Created for law enforcement, security and military personnel, the L.O.C.K.U.P.® (Law Officers Combat Kinetics Unarmed Panoply)  program teaches arrest and control maneuvers for all levels of physical resistance and aggression. With a primary focus on techniques for UNARMED police combat, L.O.C.K.U.P.®, developed from over 60 years of combined law enforcement and martial arts training, combines dynamic arrest and control tactics with basic fighting skills and applications. The result is that police, security and military personnel can better  protect themselves and the public they are sworn to serve.

Overview of combat disciplines

Combat sports are sports disciplines that can be practiced in competition. A regulation is provided especially for the championships and aims in particular to guarantee the physical integrity. The winner is designated as the champion.
Example: Judo, Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing ...

Martial art means "art of war". Due to the potential dangerousness, it is impossible to organize competitions. A martial art is most often a teaching of combat techniques.
Example: Aikido, Ju-jitsu, Krav-maga ...

Self defense refers to all combat techniques to deal with an assault on the street. An effective self-defense must make it possible to control an aggressive individual without unnecessary violence by respecting the right of self-defense.

How to choose ?

Self Defense must focus on techniques of movement of persons, standing and ground immobilizations and finalization techniques (strangulations, joints lock) to the detriment of harmful and destructive techniques which should only be used in specific cases.

Since 1993, the creation of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) has allowed fighters of different styles to meet and determine which techniques are most effective. Often considered violent and brutal, with as few rules as possible the first UFC fights resembled circus games, a cage, no weight classes, no gloves. All the ingredients were there for the media to be interested and unleashed. There were many detractors and politicians put pressure on the organizers.

But few people understood the real intentions of the Gracie family. If techniques cause enormous damage to the opponent, they are not always the most effective. In 1993, Rorion Gracie's goal was to show the effectiveness of the Gracie Jiu-jitsu® in a real fight. He had revolutionized the world of martial arts by honoring the fight on the ground. Royce Gracie, his brother, had submitted all his opponents, whatever the discipline. To summarize, the UFC will be a good reference to determine which are the most effective fighting techniques without weapons and the war will illustrate the fighting with weapons. However, certain notions will have to be meditated: no energizing products and preparations, bodily harm generated, clothing, fears of the unknown, number of people, visibility ...
